ANNOUNCEMENTS
CHURCH POTLUCK ~ Next week is this month’s Mid-Month Meal. Bring one entrée along with a side or dessert to share and enjoy fellowship with your family in Christ. We’ll feast together in the parish hall following Sunday school.
BOY SCOUT FOOD DRIVE ~ The annual Scouting For Food will be held next Saturday, 3/16. The local collection is delivered to us for our food pantry. We will need several volunteers to help organize and put the items on the shelves. If interested, please contact Pastor or the church office.
FRIDAY NIGHT SHOES ~ The sign-up sheet for the next Friday Night Shoes is now on the bulletin board in the Narthex. We will be going to Mario’s on Veterans’ in Springfield/Chatham on 3/15 at 6 pm.
MARCH YOUTH EVENTS ~ All Jr. High and High School youth are invited to participate in both events this month. We will meet on 3/16 from 6-8 p.m. for our Saturday Youth Night. Come for dinner, a devotion, and games. Please sign-up for youth night by noon on 3/16. On 3/30 we will go to Edison’s Entertainment in Edwardsville for lunch, laser tag, bowling, and arcade games. Meet at church at 10:30 a.m.; we should return around 5:30 p.m. The cost for the event is $20 and includes lunch and the all-access pass. Families of students and friends are also encouraged to attend. Please sign-up for this event by 3/24.
BUTTERBRAIDS FUNDRAISER ~ The youth groups are now selling butterbraid pastries, cookie dough, and pizzas to raise money for youth events and the high school summer Higher Things conference. Please see the youth in the narthex if you would like to purchase items. Delivery will be made on 4/11.
STIER SCHOLARSHIP ~ Applications for the Isaac David Stier Memorial Scholarship are now available from the church office. The scholarship is open to any member of Good Shepherd who will be furthering their education next fall. Deadline for completed applications is 4/15.
