CHRISTMAS EVE AND CHRISTMAS DAY SERVICES ~ With Christmas Eve falling on a Sunday this year, we have several opportunities to hear the Word and receive the Sacrament over the course of 24+ hours!
Advent 4/Christmas Eve – Sunday, 12/24 at 9:00 a.m.
Children’s Christmas Eve Service – 12/24 at 6:00 p.m.
Christmas Eve Candlelight – 12/24 at 8:30 p.m. or 11:00 p.m.
Christmas Day Festival Divine Service – 12/25 at 10:00 a.m.

CHILDREN’S CHRISTMAS EVE SERVICE PRACTICES ~ All students in preschool through high school are encouraged to participate in this year’s Family Christmas Eve Service on 12/24 at 6:00 p.m. If you have not already confirmed your child’s participation with Betsy, please speak with her as soon as possible. Our final practice is today from 11:30-1:00. Please send along a lunch or snack for your child. Questions or concerns? Please speak with Betsy.

CAMP CILCA BANQUET ~ You are invited to the Camp CILCA Annual Banquet from 5-8 p.m. on January 28, 2018 at the fellowship hall of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Springfield. The evening includes musical entertainment, dinner, and guest presenter Rev. Dr. Joel Heck who will speak about the importance of Creation for Christian faith and life. Tickets are $40 and can be purchased from the camp office at 217-415-2311 or camp@cilca.org. Child care will also be available for $5.

ADVENT MIDWEEK SERVICES ~ This Wednesday, December 20th, dinner is served at 5:45 p.m. and the Service is at 7 p.m. We remember Katharina von Bora Luther, faithful wife and mother. Come and ponder the immoveable, unshakeable hope we have in Christ Jesus.

LESSONS & CAROLS ~ This evening at 6 p.m. will be the Service of Lessons & Carols and our renowned dessert smorgasbord! Everyone is encouraged to bring a dessert to share.

YOUTH SPONSORED ADVENT DINNER ~ The youth will serve dinner on 12/20. Please sign-up to donate items needed for baked potato bar and sides.

DECEMBER YOUTH EVENTS ~ Opportunities for time together abound in December! On 12/23 all are invited to the Lash’s house for our Christmas Movie Marathon from 2-7pm. HS youth will meet for a progressive dinner on 12/30 from 5:30-8pm. Friends are welcome at all events! Sign-up today!

CAROLING AT THE VILLA ~ All are invited to sing some of our favorite Christmas carols at Villa West on 12/24 during the Sunday School/Scripture Study hour. Meet in the sanctuary to receive a caroling booklet when the bell rings.

TWELFTH NIGHT PARTY ~ Let’s get together on the last evening of the Christmas season – the Twelfth Night – for some food and fun! The festivities begin at 6 PM on Friday, January 5th, in the parish hall. We’ll share a potluck dinner, sing Christmas hymns, and play a game or two. Sign-up today!
