SAVED THROUGH WATER VBS ~ Set sail for a fun Vacation Bible School on June 23-27 from 6:00-8:00 p.m.

  • Registration is open! All children age 3 through those entering 6thgrade in the fall are encouraged to attend VBS. Please fill out a registration form from the Parish Hall and return it to Betsy, or register online at gsslcms.org/vbs
  • Volunteers are needed! Check out the VBS display in the Parish Hall for more information on how you can help and to fill out a volunteer form. The volunteer meeting is 6/13 at 7 p.m. The next VBS work night is 6/20 at 7 p.m.

LWML MISSION PLEDGE WALK ~ Glen & Nancy Holmes will be attending the LWML National Convention in Alabama in June. While there, they will be participating in the Mission Pledge Walk. You can help them support LWML Mission grants by making a donation. This Mite Box money will help fund mission grants in the 2019-2021 biennium. Checks should be written to LWML with Motion written in the memo line. You may give your check to Glen or Nancy, or put in their mailbox.  A couple of the last mission grants included: Nursing Students Serving with Mercy Medical Team, short Term Mission Trips, Laborers of Love, and Prison Ministries.

NO MID-MONTH MEAL IN JUNE ~ Due to Father’s Day falling on our usual potluck Sunday, there will be no meal this month. We’ll meet again to eat together in July!

SUNDAY NIGHT BOOK CLUB ~Book Club begins this evening; if you want to join in come for discussion and a book can be delivered into your hands by midweek! This year we’ll be reading Liturgy of the Ordinaryby Tish Harrison Warren.

SUNDAY SCHOOL CHILDREN SING ~ The Sunday school children (preschool through 5th grade) are singing during the Divine Service on Trinity Sunday, June 16th. Please, deliver your child/ren to the pews by the piano that morning by 8:40 for warm-ups. The children will be dismissed to sit with their families after the Athanasian Creed. Thank you!

FRIDAY NIGHT SHOES ~ The next Friday Night Shoes will be held this Friday, June 14, at 6 pm. We will meet at Top Cats (3211 Sangamon Ave) in Springfield.
