ANNOUNCEMENTS
CONGREGATION WORK DAY ~ Come April 6th beginning at 8:30 a.m. We have cleaning inside and out to do in preparation for Holy Week, Easter, and the change of seasons. Many hands make light work. Please come and help care for our church!
SPECIAL VOTERS’ MEETING ~ A special Voters’ Meeting will be held on Sunday, April 7th, in the Parish Hall following Divine Service. The item of business for this meeting is to seek congregational advisement on several facilities maintenance projects that have come to light in the course of the building addition.
HOLY WEEK SERVICES ~ Services will be offered each night during Holy Week, 4/15–4/20. Services are each night at 7 p.m. Plan to come and devote yourself to the Word each night during this week when our Lord was in Jerusalem to die for us. Please put it on your calendars.
LENTEN MIDWEEK SERVICES ~ Each Wednesday in Lent we gather together to devote ourselves to the Word, prayer, and the Sacrament of the Altar. This year we are reading through 1 Peter, one chapter per week. Last Wednesday we read and Pastor preached on 1 Peter 3. This week we will hear 1 Peter 4. Please come! Service is at 7 p.m., with a meal served beforehand at 5:45 p.m.
APRIL YOUTH EVENT ~ All Jr. High and High School youth are invited to come to our next Saturday Youth Night on 4/6 from 6-8 p.m. Get together for a dinner, a devotion, and games! Invite a friend and sign-up by noon on 4/6.
GAME NIGHT ~ All are welcome to attend our next game night on 4/5 at 6:00 p.m. Pizza and drinks will be provided; please sign-up and bring a side or dessert to share. Bring your favorite game from home or join with others to play a new game!
EASTER BREAKFAST ~ A sign-up sheet is posted on the youth bulletin board for food donations and youth and parent help during the breakfast. Breakfast will be served for all from 8-9 a.m.!
BUTTERBRAIDS FUNDRAISER ~ The youth groups are in the narthex selling butterbraid pastries, cookie dough, and pizzas to raise money for youth events and the high school summer Higher Things conference. Delivery will be made on 4/11.
WORK DAY AT CAMP CILCA ~ Saturday, 4/6, from 8:30-11:30 a.m. We will be cleaning cabins, setting fence posts, spreading mulch, setting fence posts, raking leaves, and eating lunch. Meet at the Dining Hall. Come and go as you please, but lunch will be served for all volunteers at 11:30. See you there!
STIER SCHOLARSHIP ~ Applications for the Isaac David Stier Memorial Scholarship are now available from the church office. The scholarship is open to any member of Good Shepherd who will be furthering their education next fall. Deadline for completed applications is 4/15.
