LET’S READ JOHN’S GOSPEL TOGETHER ~ Continuing this week, Monday–Friday on the Devotions side of the Blue Sheet will be dedicated to reading through the Gospel of John. Let’s do this together! Please take time to read through this Gospel with everyone in your household throughout the week, and we’ll all end up reading it together! Read John 1 before this week’s reading to catch up.
YOUTH READING THROUGH JOHN ~ Come and join Pastor Schuermann and other High School Youth (just out of 8th grade through just-graduated Seniors) of the congregation on Wednesday evenings at 8 p.m. We’ll read through John’s Gospel together this summer. We continue with John 2 and into 3 this week!
INSTALLATION OF PASTORS BAHR AND THEILEN ~ The Installation of our Assistant Pastors, Rev. Bahr and Rev. Theilen, will take place during the Divine Service on Sunday, July 1st. Please plan to come and celebrate as the Lord sends out workers into His harvest fields!
CHURCH DIRECTORY INTEREST SIGN-UP ~ It’s time to do an update for our church pictorial directory. We need to gauge interest in having pictures taken/retaken. There’s an interest sign-up sheet on the bulletin board. Please sign up by today so we can schedule if there’s enough interest.
CHURCH COOKOUT, JULY 7th ~ Join us at our next potluck and cookout for an evening of fun! Burgers and hotdogs will be provided. Please bring a side or dessert to share. We’ll get started around 5pm. Weather permitting, we will be outside, so please bring a lawn game to play if you have one. Sign-up today!
LIFTED UP VBS ~ Join us June 24-28 from 6-8 p.m. Children ages 3 through those entering 6th grade are encouraged to takeoff on this awesome adventure where we will learn about five Bible stories focusing on some of the “lifting up” in Scripture. Register online at gsslcms.org/vbs/ or pick up a form in the Parish Hall.
VBS DONATIONS ~A donations list of items we would like to borrow or need for VBS is posted on the narthex bulletin board. If you would like to make a monetary donation to help cover snack expenses, you may give that to Betsy.
NO DIVINE SERVICE WEDNESDAY, 6/27 ~Due to Vacation Bible School, there will be no mid-week Divine Service on Wednesday, June 27th.
THEATER IN THE PARK ~Our August first weekend event takes us to New Salem to see the musical “Oliver!” The show is on 8/3 at 8 p.m. In order to qualify for the group rate of $12/ticket, we will need to have at least 10 people in our group by 7/3. Sign-up today!
