FEBRUARY VOTERS’ MEETING ~ The regular February Voters’ Meeting will be held Sunday, February 25th, at 6:30 p.m. If you are a Voting Member, please plan to attend. If not currently a Voting Member, you can become a Voting Member at the meeting. Please come and participate in the life of the congregation!
LENTEN MIDWEEK SERVICES ~ During this year’s Lenten midweek services we’ll hear from some of Isaiah’s Servant Songs as well as the Passion account in Matthew’s Gospel, and discover how our Lord’s suffering fulfills what God promised, for our good.
- Wednesday midweek services each Wednesday for the next 4 weeks, at 7 p.m.
- Meal served before the service, starting at about 5:45 p.m. (This is a great way to be with and know your neighbors in the congregation!)
- Holy Week services will be held every night at 7 p.m., starting Monday, March 26th.
LENTEN DEVOTION BOOKS AVAILABLE ~ As part of your Lenten discipline, please consider using one of the Lenten devotional books provided on the table in the narthex. The Return from Exile assigns a Scripture reading and provides a short devotional reading for each day in Lent. This would be a great addition to your regular daily devotions. You can start anytime, even after Lent has begun!
MARCH YOUTH GROUP EVENTS ~ Jr. High and High School youth are invited to attend our regular Saturday Youth Night on 3/10 from 6-8 p.m. We’ll gather for dinner, a devotion, and games. Our second event in March is for both JH and HS youth and families. We will go to Edison’s Entertainment Complex for unlimited bowling, laser tag, and arcade, plus lunch. The cost for this event is $24/person. Sign-ups are posted in the narthex.
HOUSING NEEDED FOR GREENVILLE CHOIR ~ The Greenville College Choir will be our guests on Friday, March 9th. They will give a concert of sacred choral music here at Good Shepherd that night. They have asked us to provide housing for them from Friday night to Saturday morning. If you are willing and able to provide housing, please sign up on the sheet in the narthex. To help with planning, please sign up by the end of today, Sunday, Feb. 25th. We are in need of about 10 more households!
GAME NIGHT ~ Bring a game and join us for our next game night on 3/2 at 6 p.m. Pizza and soda will be provided; please bring a side or dessert to share. Please sign-up by noon on 3/2. All of the congregation is welcome and invited to attend!
