“[Y]ou yourselves like living stones are being built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. For it stands in Scripture: ‘Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone, a cornerstone chosen and precious, and whoever believes in him will not be put to shame.’” (1 Peter 2:5-6, ESV)
God has built His people here on the cornerstone of Jesus Christ. And He continues to build! We have an amazing God who gives us an amazing hope: our sins are forgiven in the crucified and risen Christ; we have a certain hope of an eternal life to live with Him! What’s more, we have neighbors all around us who are in need of hearing this good news.
We’ve been given an opportunity to expand and improve our facilities at Good Shepherd. Much of our original facility has reached the end of its useful life. Thanks be to God that so many have been built up in Christ here in these buildings! It’s time to make sacrifices in our lives for the sake of refurbishing some existing parts of our church and for building new as well.

A booklet has been produced which provides an overview of the Building on the Cornerstone of Christ campaign, including some of the hoped-for objectives to our subsequent building campaign. Copies have been provided to all the members of the congregation, but please download a copy and review for yourself! (PDF)
